1.) Set a Date.

Setting a date is something you need to do but how do you set something so huge? For my husband and I it was easy we chose our anniversary of being together. He asked me to be his girlfriend June 8, 2010, proposed June 8, 2013, and we married June 8, 2014. It also happens to be two days after his birthday! For us that worked and we loved the idea of keeping our anniversary on one day instead of celebrating two dates. (We’re weird, don’t mind us.) But how do you choose a date?

Find a day that means something to you, maybe its a family members birthday, a date that is special like your first kiss, first date, or maybe the day you met.

But Sandie, we don’t remember those days what then? Choose a season; the most popular seasons are summer and fall and for good reason! So if you love fall you’ll want to choose a date from September – November. From there you’ll have to narrow it down based on personal preferences (Leaves, weather, etc) Hopefully this helps you decide!

2.) Set a budget.

Weddings cost a lot lets be real you’re going to spend a good amount of money. So whether our budget is $3000 or $10000 get it set. For us we chose a number that was feasible for us the basic budget for this area is anywhere between $3000 – $7000 I’ve noticed. Budget yourself properly so you can afford quality vendors and make sure your day is absolutely perfect! One thing I must say is you do get what you pay for and sometimes DIY is not the best way to go. Sometimes it is cheaper to purchase items than DIY it,make sure to do your research!

3.) Pick your wedding party
